Widespread rain (with some freezing rain initially) for the Upstate tonight through Friday. A transition to snow for Saturday... and maybe a White Christmas for some of us?

The stage is set for a soaking, heavy rainfall across the Upstate Thursday night into early Saturday, with a transition to snow showers Saturday and Sunday.

Lake effect / enhanced snow showers will gradually end this evening and early overnight. Dry and cold conditions for your Tuesday before things go downhill pretty quick.

Temperatures fall Monday with snow showers into Monday night, and a very cold day on tap for Tuesday...

Light freezing rain and light snow will coat the ground Sunday for a sizable portion of the Upstate, but emphasis on LIGHT. No significant icing expected, with only about an inch of snow. Strong Arctic blast for Monday PM through Tuesday, but don't get used to it.

A few rain showers along the Canadian border and the NY/PA border into the Catskills tonight. Dry weather on Saturday... but mixed precip to light snow possible on Sunday...

Warm temperatures with some rain chances this weekend, but not as much rain as initially thought earlier in the week...

Snow showers will dissipate overnight, and then we're dry until at least Thursday night.
