Good morning! After I wrote a bunch of stuff for this morning it got erased and I could not save it. So TAKE 2!
Most of the snow, sleet, freezing rain, and rain is moving on out of here and should be mostly out of the region this afternoon. All that shall be left later this afternoon, tonight and into tomorrow shall be some minor lake effect snows, mainly off of Lake Ontario, and not much at that. With the exception of a coating to an inch or two at most, only in limited areas, that is it for today and tomorrow.
Come this weekend, for the first time since the summer, it is supposed to be Partly Sunny!!! For the first time in 2+ months, sunshine and DRY conditions are forecasted. Oh my gosh especially in November how nice that would be! The sun is actually supposed to last 3 full days.
Monday Night into Tuesday, around the next Trail Talk Report, should be the next system, minor in strength, with a scattering of rain and snow showers. Then another quiet period for another few days after that with a warming trend through the 40s and into the 50s by the end of next week.
Days 8-14 look really crazy right now. To the point to where I don’t want to mention it. If I were to mention a potential big storm and Nor’easter the Tuesday and Wednesday before Thanksgiving, at days 13 and 14 currently, it would lead to an outright panic! And I’m sure with some of that raw data out there, some people have already clicked to get their thousands if not millions of click baits. I remember just how crazy it was with a few inches of snow over parts of Upstate NY, 5-6 days out, and I set an all time record with over 900 shares and nearly 1/2 million views just on that alone. I am not going to go there, other than to tell you, that something is there. It could be sunny and 60 for all I know! We shall see.
So we wait until the second half of November for the most of our snowfall, which we are this year, and waiting for next Wednesday 11/15 for the second forecast for the winter of 2023-24. And any changes we could see until now and then. Because you know how important November is to overall snowfall.
