This is the post you can’t resist. This is the post you will more than likely laugh at. Scoff at. You’ll say winter is over. Trust me, it is. Did we have a great winter? Yes we did! But there are times to where Mother Nature fires us a few last bones of winter. This is one of those bones. It may or may not be the last bone of the season.
REGARDLESS ALL TRAILS ARE CLOSED AND WILL REMAIN CLOSED. ONLY PLACES OPEN WOULD BE SEASONAL ROADS ONLY AND THOSE ARE SPECIFICALLY AT YOUR OWN RISK.
In any case, this is what we have coming. Tonight a cold front moves on in changing any rain showers quickly to snow showers as temperatures fall well below 32 degrees. Most areas will be between 15-25 degrees by Tuesday morning with at least a dusting of snow on the ground. We continue with snow showers on and off throughout Tuesday with indications it not only goes through Tuesday night but into Wednesday as well. With temperatures at to below freezing this entire time, it will lead to some accumulations of snow. Not a ton but enough to remind you that you live in New York.
It’s April. It happens most years at least once. No big deal here. Hey at least it’s not the great Nor’easter of after Easter 2022, eh?! At least it warms back to normal next weekend with more rain showers coming through which should help to melt away any of the snows that make it to the ground.
Thank you for sticking around! We always love to jump in on you and say HI from time to time.
