Chance of snow through 11/14: 25 percent (depending on where you live)
Chance of snow 11/15 to 11/21: 25 percent
Good afternoon! Even though it’s tonight into tomorrow morning before it warms up (and washes it all away like it never happened), here is the snowfall forecast map for tonight into tomorrow morning’s “system” which shall bring no more than a trace to an inch in the higher elevations of the Adirondacks (perhaps a 2″ at most) and the Catskills (barely an inch at most)…
OK… I’ll admit I have a much better shot at verifying on the northern end of this than the southern end of this… but… it’s only a trace to an inch or two of snow and with temperatures breaking 50 across most of Upstate NY later Thursday, you can kiss that snow goodbye in a matter of hours. I’m sorry that’s all we have but… that’s all we have for now.
We are relatively dry and temperatures near normal through Veteran’s Day Weekend and into next week. It’s honestly at the Day 10-14 range before I see anything to get excited about… and not much at that… so with the next report sending us all the way to Turkey Day 2023, what is it going to show?
As much as we’ve had a little snow around here, it’s going to take more of this to send it off. We need a lake effect event! We need a snowstorm with at least a few inches of snow, if not more, before the end of November. Otherwise the forecast for Winter 2023-24 could change… and not in a good way. Stay tuned… I will have more on Thursday.
