With apologies for the delay in getting the reports out, day 3 was the longest and best ride of the entire trip with two of the best people in the world to do it with! Darrin Harr from ILSNOW.COM and Darrin Harr the son, 23, made the two hour drive from Indian Lake to bring their ILSNOW.COM MOBILE COMMAND CENTER to Tug Hill. Darrin got great pictures and does such a masterful job with the write-ups from the rides, I’m just going to have you click below to review the ride report from Day 3 right here:
83 Sunday. 100 Monday. 120 Tuesday. 303 for three days of riding! We’d be on our way back to Greenville now, but we got some tragic news on our way up Saturday that I’m holding back. It will require me to stay in Upstate NY another few days, and leave for SC sometime Friday afternoon and return to my SC base on Saturday. I will try to update the site as much as I can but no guarantees over the next few days.
You know the story… big warmup today. Serious warm up Thursday with strong winds and heavy rains which will be the death blow for many trail systems across Upstate NY for now. I can tell you after being on Tug Hill, they will more than survive. Same thing for areas with deeper snow, which is not many. Riding will become much more difficult soon. Get your trailers ready and prepare for late season conditions in mid season. We rode the best, now it’s garbage time unfortunately. Pray we get through this well.
